Baja California Sur is where desert mountains meet the Sea of Cortez: swimming with whale sharks off La Paz, sea lions at Espíritu Santo, the surf town of Todos Santos and the rock arch of Cabo San Lucas. Grey whales calve in the Pacific lagoons in winter.
