The Gold Museum, La Candelaria’s street art, a salt cathedral and a white colonial town.
Bogotá sits at 2,600 metres below its green mountains: the colonial lanes and street art of La Candelaria, the Gold Museum with its pre-Columbian treasures, Botero’s museum and the cable car up Monserrate. Zipaquirá has a cathedral carved in a salt mine, and Villa de Leyva, three hours north, is a whitewashed colonial town around one of the largest squares in the Americas.
