Europe’s largest sandstone arch, deep gorges and a river gorge travelled by punt.
The same sandstone that makes Saxon Switzerland continues across the German border and gets wilder: the Pravčická brána is the largest natural arch in Europe, and the Kamenice gorge is so narrow that the only way through is a flat-bottomed boat poled by a ferryman. A large wildfire burned through the park in 2022 and the regrowth is now part of what you see. Děčín on the Elbe is the way in, and the whole park joins straight onto the German one.
