Cardiff & the Gower

A castle in the capital, rugby on match day and Britain’s first protected coast.

Cardiff has a castle in its centre, a rebuilt waterfront at the bay and a stadium where the whole city sings on rugby days; Caerphilly Castle and the fairy-tale Castell Coch are close by. West of Swansea the Gower was Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — limestone cliffs, surf at Rhossili and the seaside village of Mumbles.
