The Cinque Terre cling to terraced cliffs between Levanto and La Spezia: hike the coastal trails between Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, swim from the rocks and eat pesto and fresh anchovies. Very busy in summer — trains beat the narrow roads.
