Ireland’s oldest city, a greenway along the sea and the geopark of the Copper Coast.
Waterford was founded by the Vikings and is Ireland’s oldest city, with its Viking Triangle of museums and the crystal factory. The Waterford Greenway follows an old railway for forty-six kilometres over viaducts to Dungarvan, a harbour town with a castle, and the Copper Coast between them is a UNESCO geopark of coves and old mines.
