A high valley of lakes and larches, the Swiss National Park and painted Romansh villages.
The Engadin is a high valley along the young Inn, with a chain of lakes at St. Moritz and larch forests that turn gold in October. The Swiss National Park is strictly wild, the villages of the lower Engadin such as Guarda and Scuol have sgraffito-painted houses, and Scuol has thermal baths. The trails and bike routes are among the finest in the Alps.
