The spice island: nutmeg plantations, a harbour town of red roofs, rainforest falls and an underwater sculpture park.
Grenada grows nutmeg, cinnamon and cocoa in its rainforested hills, and its capital St. George’s is one of the prettiest harbours in the Caribbean, red roofs climbing around the horseshoe of the Carenage. Grand Anse is the long beach, the rainforest has crater lakes and waterfalls, an underwater sculpture park lies off the west coast, and Carriacou, a short hop north, is sleepier still.
