Fossil beaches, the Durdle Door arch and the ruin of Corfe Castle.

The Dorset coast is a UNESCO site because its cliffs show 185 million years of the earth’s history — at Lyme Regis you can still pick ammonites from the beach. The South West Coast Path runs past the limestone arch of Durdle Door and the round cove of Lulworth, Weymouth has the sandy beach, and Swanage sits below the Purbeck hills and the ruins of Corfe Castle.
