The Garden of England: Canterbury Cathedral, moated castles, oast houses and white cliffs.

Kent is called the Garden of England for its orchards and hop gardens, and the round oast houses where the hops were dried still stand in the fields. Canterbury has the mother church of England inside its medieval walls, Leeds and Hever are moated castles, and the white cliffs of Dover face France. Rye, just across in Sussex, is a hilltop town of cobbled lanes and smugglers’ inns.
