Seventy beaches of volcanic colour, the moonscape of Sarakiniko and sea caves by boat.

Milos is a volcanic island with more than seventy beaches, each in a different colour of rock — the white moonscape of Sarakiniko is the best known. Boats sail round to the sea caves of Kleftiko, which is also a paddling trip, the fishing villages have boat garages painted in bright colours at the waterline, and Plaka, the hilltop capital, is where the island watches the sunset.
