Wine cellars, painted villages and karst caves — the Czech half nobody books.
Moravia is the eastern two fifths of Czechia and quite unlike Bohemia: it drinks wine rather than beer, and the cellar lanes of Petrov and Vlčnov are rows of little painted doors set into a bank. The Lednice-Valtice estate is an entire landscape laid out as a garden by one family, listed by UNESCO. Olomouc has the second largest heritage reserve in the country and almost no queues, and the Moravian Karst hides a 138-metre abyss reached by boat underground.
